| Car Hire Excess
Insurance |
|
One of the irritating niggles with car hire
can be turning up to collect the car and finding that the car rental
agreement only includes cover for Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and
Theft.
|
| So, you find you are still liable
for the Excess on CDW and
Theft....which means if the rental car is damaged or stolen, you pay
the first portion of the repair or replacement costs. This is known as
the Car Hire Excess. |
| The car hire company will cover
you for the Car Hire Excess locally.....but it does mean an extra
charge, over and above the initial car hire |
| Insurance4carhire
covers not only for the total amount of Excess for which you are liable
if the car is damaged or stolen, but also for damage to the roof and
undercarriage of the car, and windows and tyres. |
|
With car hire excess insurance Insurance4carhire
insure the Policy Holder, not the rental vehicle. Car hire excess is a
voluntary insurance....just decline the car rental company’s Excess
cover at the counter when you collect the car. Then, if the
car is damaged or stolen, you
claim for reimbursement on your car hire excess insurance policy.
